Introduction

About TWISC@NCHU

The Taiwan Information Security Center (TWISC) was established on April 1, 2006. It mainly integrates the resources of domestic universities and research institutions to strengthen the research and development of National Information Security.

TWISC@NCHU is a sub-center of TWISC. Since January 1, 2015, it has participated in the deep cultivation of fundamental industrial technology projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology. The rise of the Internet of Things has attracted much attention from the industry, commerce and academia, and maintaining the security between its endpoints has become a challenging research topic. The short-term goal of TWISC@NCHU is to develop the foundation of key technologies for information security. The preliminary plan focuses on the development of next-generation smart meters, the information security detection and protection mechanism of renewable energy equipment and systems, and the interactive dense network and intrusion detection system for key infrastructure, then gradually expand to other critical information infrastructure. The medium and long-term goal is to develop forward-looking information security technology. Currently, the main research topics are "PUFs in the AIoT Age: Design Methods and Applications" and "A Proposal of Active Reconnaissance and Defense System in Smart Manufacturing".

TWISC@NCHU was established in line with the development of the national "Information Security is National Security" strategy, and to strengthen the teaching, research, promotion and service needs of information security.

The tasks are as follows:

  1. Strengthen information security academic and R&D capabilities.
  2. Promote industry-university research cooperation on information security.
  3. Promote international cooperation and exchange on information security.
  4. Cultivation and education promotion of information security talents.
